Riot City Ravens

Club Biography

We are a not-for-profit Roller Derby league based in Newport, South Wales. We train in Newport and play competitively at home and away. We were formed 2 and a half years ago with 18 founding members, and the team has grown considerably since then.

Our league is a competitive club in women's roller derby, so only those identifying as female are able to compete for the club. However, we are open to anybody, and there are many different roles that can be fulfilled by someone of any gender.

Roller Derby is a contact sport, played on quad skates, originating in the States, but is growing in popularity across Europe. We welcome beginners; those who want to learn to skate with a view to playing, or refereeing, as well as volunteer members...get in touch!
