Club Biography

We are a leading hockey club in Wales playing right across Wales & the South West of England. WHC, based in Cardiff is the largest field hockey club in Wales. We run seven men’s sides, six ladies sides and twenty youth sides – offering social, development and performance hockey, for all ages & whatever your capacity. If you are a hockey player looking for a new club we welcome players of all abilities in Ladies, Men or Youth sectors.

Throughout our 64 year history Whitchurch Hockey Club has developed a culture of success. From the early days on Caedellyn Park, to St Fagans and now with our newly laid sand-dressed pitch at Whitchurch High School and purpose-built clubhouse at Whitchurch Rugby Sports & Social Club.

WHC Ladies section have been going from strength to strength, recently competing at Outdoor Hockey in the EuroHockey Club Challenge II in Vienna - June 2017 & qualifying for the Indoor European competition in February 2018. WHC Men are also competing in EuroHockey in 2018 in outdoor Hockey.
